Our casa es su casa.
That’s my dad. He built our family’s home in South Miami when my parents got to the US in 1972.
This goes out to them.
At the end of all the wild restaurant/bar/grocery/grab-and-go-counter-in-a-shared-marketplace days, this is about family, and not taking ourselves too seriously.
Without much shelf space for merchandising tons of everyone-carries-this products, I’ve chosen to get really specific with grocery and carry items that work in tandem with our house brand, Buenas, a line of goods inspired by South America, good for making whatever you want.
The wine is all from South America because, after spending years drinking natural wine at the best wine bars possible, I was hoping to shed some light on lesser known and more unsung winemaking regions of the world—specifically the ones in South America. Because there’s more to the place than Malbec. A lot more.
Everything in this store can either be taken right off the shelf and enjoyed in the moment, or taken home to create fun snacks and meals that add some joy and a lot of flavor to your every single day; perhaps those meals are even inspired by a way we happened to use a product on our daily ready-to-eat menu. It’s the first restaurant built with a menu that you can do yourself, on purpose.
As a child of immigrants, I do a lot of work to source products made by other first-gen kids who’re equally proud of their culture and hungry to share how versatile their flavors of home are—and how easily they blend into a life spent somewhere in the middle.

Your feedback matters! It absolutely informs changes I make to our service/menu/etc, it's just hard to do that, and have any type of conversation, via 'online review' culture. Thanks so much for your support, from the bottom of my golden-baked empanada heart.
